Heavy Haul

Hauling Oilfield and Construction Equipment Across the Permian Basin

July 15, 2026 · Texas Warrior Transport

You need a skid steer moved from Midland to Odessa. Or a mini excavator hauled from Granbury to a job site near Carlsbad. Maybe you’ve got a dozer sitting at an auction lot in Fort Worth that needs to be in Pecos by Friday.

We handle that. Texas Warrior Transport is a veteran-owned outfit based in Granbury, about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth. We run heavy equipment across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arkansas. The Permian Basin is a regular route for us.

What We Haul

Our heavy equipment trailer is a Silverback 40-foot Power Tilt Gooseneck. It’s built for skid steers, excavators, tractors, and similar gear. We don’t haul cars on it. That’s what our open wedge trailer is for. The Silverback handles the heavy stuff.

We move:

  • Skid steers
  • Mini excavators
  • Compact track loaders
  • Backhoes
  • Dozers (up to moderate size)
  • Tractors
  • Other light to medium construction and oilfield equipment

If your load is oversized or heavy, we coordinate permits. That’s part of the service. We don’t guess. We measure, weigh, and route accordingly.

Rates for Heavy Equipment

Our pricing is straightforward. No hidden fees. No surprises.

  • Light equipment: $2.50–3.50 per mile
  • Medium equipment: $3.50–4.50 per mile
  • Heavy or oversized: custom quote

There’s a loading and handling fee for driver time on pickup and delivery. Minimum charge for equipment is $400. If you need expedited service, add 25–50%. Volume discounts of 5–15% apply for multiple loads.

We don’t invent numbers. These are the rates we actually charge.

Permian Basin Routes

We run I-20 from Fort Worth through Abilene to Midland and Odessa. We hit US 285 south to Pecos and Fort Stockton. We go west to Carlsbad and Hobbs. We cover the whole basin.

The terrain is flat but unforgiving. Long stretches of two-lane highway. Dust. Heat. Traffic from oilfield trucks. That’s why we run a 2026 Ram 3500 dually flatbed to pull the Silverback. It’s built for the work.

We pick up from job sites, dealerships, and auction yards—Copart, IAA, Manheim. If the equipment is inoperable, our trailers have winch capability.

Why You’d Use Us

You’re not looking for a sales pitch. You need someone who shows up on time, straps down your gear correctly, and delivers it without damage.

We’re veterans. We know what discipline looks like. Our founder, Scott Luckie, is a retired Marine. Kelly Luckie runs operations and served in the Air Force. We treat your equipment like it’s ours.

We don’t promise what we can’t deliver. If your load is too heavy for our setup, we’ll tell you. If we can’t get there in your timeframe, we’ll say so. But if we take the job, it gets done.
