PCS Vehicle Shipping for Texas Military Families: A Veteran-Owned Guide
July 22, 2026 · Texas Warrior Transport
You got orders. You’re packing bags, checking housing timelines, and trying to keep the kids from losing their minds. The last thing you need is a road trip across Texas in a vehicle that’s already logged 200,000 miles. You need your car moved. You need it done right. You need a company that speaks your language.
Texas Warrior Transport (TWT) is a veteran-owned vehicle and equipment transport company based in Granbury, Texas. That’s about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth. Founder Scott Luckie is a retired U.S. Marine. Operations run by Kelly Luckie, a U.S. Air Force veteran. We know what a PCS move looks like. We know the timelines. We know the pressure. And we know how to get your vehicle from point A to point B without the headache.
Here’s how we handle PCS vehicle shipping for Texas military families.
Why Use a Transporter Instead of Driving
You could drive. You’ve done it before. But a PCS move is already a marathon. Adding a 1,000-mile drive in your personal vehicle means burning leave time, paying for fuel, hotels, and meals, and putting wear and tear on your car. That’s time you could spend getting your family settled or checking into your new unit.
TWT handles the logistics. We pick up your vehicle at your current location—whether that’s a base in Texas, a rental house, or a storage lot. We transport it to your next duty station or any address within our coverage area: statewide Texas, plus Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arkansas. You fly or drive your family vehicle. We handle the rest.
Our Fleet and What We Can Move
We keep it simple. Our fleet includes a 2026 Ram 3500 dually flatbed tow vehicle and a Kaufman 4-car wedge trailer. That’s an open trailer that can carry up to four vehicles at once. We also have a Silverback 40’ Power Tilt Gooseneck trailer. That one is for heavy equipment—skid steers, excavators, tractors. Not for cars.
If you need enclosed transport, we offer that as a service tier. We don’t own a named enclosed trailer, but we can arrange it. Just ask. We also have winch capability on our trailers for inoperable vehicles. If your car won’t start or has a dead battery, we can still load it.
Pricing That Makes Sense for Military Budgets
We don’t hide fees. You get a straight rate based on distance and vehicle count. Multi-vehicle moves run $0.45 to $0.65 per mile. Two-vehicle moves are $0.55 to $0.75 per mile. Single or white-glove service runs $1.00 to $1.50 per mile. Light equipment is $2.50 to $3.50 per mile. Medium equipment runs $3.50 to $4.50 per mile. Heavy or oversized loads require a custom quote.
There’s a loading and handling fee for driver load and unload time. Minimums apply: $250 for a single vehicle, $150 per vehicle for multi-vehicle moves, and $400 for equipment. Need it fast? Expedited service adds 25 to 50 percent. Moving multiple vehicles? Volume discounts of 5 to 15 percent are available.
We don’t invent numbers. Those are the rates. You can get a quote on our quote page.
Services That Cover the PCS Process
PCS moves don’t always follow a straight line. Your vehicle might be at a dealer, an auction yard, or a friend’s house. We handle that. Our services include multi-vehicle transport, single or white-glove service, heavy equipment hauling, auction pickups from Copart, IAA, and Manheim, dealer transfers, inoperable vehicle winch service, expedited shipping, and oversized or permit coordination.
If your car is at an auction lot in Dallas and you’re already in El Paso, we can pick it up and bring it to you. If you’re PCSing to Fort Hood and need your truck moved from San Antonio, we’re on it. We cover Texas statewide and the surrounding states.
Why a Veteran-Owned Company Matters
We’ve been where you are. Scott served in the Marine Corps. Kelly served in the Air Force. We understand the stress of a PCS move. We don’t use jargon. We don’t promise what we can’t deliver. We show up on time, load your vehicle correctly, and get it where it needs to go. That’s it.
You don’t need a sales pitch. You need a transporter who respects your time and your vehicle. We’re that company.
